Taekwondo over the years has proven to be a very beneficial activity for people of all ages and is taught to children in Korean schools as part of the national curriculum. In the UK, many headteachers fully acknowledge the benefits of good physical training and recently, martial arts like Taekwondo are becoming more commonly taught as part of the physical education programme. Besides the obvious benefits such as improved co-ordination, spatial awareness and a channel for excess energy, Taekwondo also instils confidence, improves mental focus, promotes self discipline and is a great character builder.

Our junior Academy’s training structure is specifically geared to achieving the highest levels in training excellence for children aged 5 – 12yrs. The training environment is safe, highly motivating and disciplined. Classes run in conjunction with the Academic Term taking place twice per week, with extra training opportunities for those children who compete. We also hold an annual summer camp and offer private tuition during the holiday periods.
